Privacy Policy

Locking Prayer ("the App") was developed by Ofek Sason ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

• Profile data: Motivation, relationship with God, preferred prayer length, and focus topic. This data is stored locally on your device only.
• Usage data: Prayer statistics (number of prayers, streak), reading history. Stored locally only.
• Screen Time data (iOS): The App uses Apple's Screen Time API to monitor and limit the apps you choose. Your app selections are stored on your device via Apple's mechanisms and are not sent to us.
• Screen Time data (Android): The App uses UsageStatsManager to monitor usage of the apps you choose. Data is stored locally only.
• Analytics: We collect anonymous usage data (such as number of prayers, navigation events) via PostHog to improve the App. No personally identifiable information is collected.
• Notifications: If you approve, we send local reminders. No notifications are sent via an external server.

2. How We Use Information

Most data is stored locally on your device and used solely to operate the App. Anonymous analytics data is sent to PostHog to improve the App. Prayer requests are sent to the Google Gemini API without any personally identifiable information. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties.

3. Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using MMKV. We have no servers that collect your information. Deleting the App will delete all data.

4. Third-Party Services

• Apple Screen Time / Family Controls API (iOS only)
• App usage monitoring service (Android only)
• Expo Notifications (local notifications only)
• PostHog (anonymous analytics — general usage data with no identifying details)
• Superwall (subscription management)
• Google Gemini API (prayer generation — no personal data)

We do not use advertising or personal tracking services.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Your Rights

You can delete all your data at any time via Settings > Advanced > Reset All Data, or by deleting the App.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a new update date.
